EMIJAH SMITH, FOUNDER
Emijah Smith, a Seattle native and dedicated community organizer, exemplifies the spirit of service and leadership that drives our work. Her journey began at Garfield High School, where she addressed the harms her community faced due to systemic issues like the War on Drugs.
Described by her cousin Willard Jimerson as "selfless, caring, altruistic, a shining example of what it really means to support community…superwoman!" Emijah's unwavering commitment to restorative justice and healing continues to inspire our endeavors.
DEDICATED COMMUNITY ADVOCATE
Emijah Smith is a dedicated community advocate and public school champion from Seattle's Central District. With a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Washington, she has worked with organizations like the Odessa Brown Children's Clinic and King County Equity Now. Emijah has been a consistent voice for communities of color and working families, focusing on affordable housing, equitable healthcare, and inclusive education. Her lifelong commitment to social justice and community empowerment continues to inspire positive change in her district.
